Big Tobacco has directed its focus toward the youth market because of its loss of the older customers to tobacco-related diseases and deaths (or early deaths, or premature deaths, or shortened life spans). A newer, younger generation of smokers/vapers is necessary for Big Tobacco to continue its revenue stream:

Big Tobacco has systematically lied and covered up its efforts to addict smokers for decades. Nicotine and other tobacco additives have resulted in negative health issues for millions worldwide, and secondhand smoke has given even nonsmokers respiratory diseases.
E-cigarettes and other vape products are the most commonly used tobacco product among youth. In addition to nicotine, they contain harmful propellants and trace minerals. Vaping impacts young developing brains and causes long-term problems.

Quitting is not easy! For many, it takes several attempts to become tobacco-free. The most important first step is to determine WHY you want to quit, and to return to that reason when you waver. There are additional tools to help you through this sometimes-challenging time.
